Maybe you’ve seen the word neurodivergent floating around on TikTok and you felt like they were speaking to you. Or maybe you looked around at your people and realized they all lovingly label themselves ADHD or autistic or AuDHD. Or maybe you feel like you’re speaking a completely different language from the rest of the world and are struggling to find an interpreter!
Whatever the reason you landed on this page, my main hope is that you feel seen. Having a neurodivergent brain does not make you bad or other. It simply means you interpret the world in a different way than neurotypicals…and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
My hope is that while we are in a session, you recognize these differences are reasons to be praised and celebrated. Let’s embrace your quirks and have a space where you feel comfortable being your honest self with no fear of judgment. My goal in our relationship is not to give you skills to make neurotypical individuals feel comfortable around you. My goal is to support you in addressing your needs by using your innate strengths and interests in a way that allows you to thrive in a way that is unique to you. While society may have felt you needed to be less, I believe you are extraordinary and want nothing else but to see you be more.
All neurospicy & neurosparkly humans welcome here!
This may resonate if:
You’re exhausted from masking and trying to hide parts of yourself in order to stay safe or accepted
You struggle to trust your own perceptions after years of being misunderstood
You’ve been told you’re “too much” or “too sensitive” with emotions that are too intense
You feel both deeply capable and just so overwhelmed
You shut down or withdraw when overwhelmed, even when connection may be just the thing you’re needing at that time
You’ve been misunderstood or dismissed by providers in the past that you felt like didn’t get you
Sometimes these experiences are called “anxiety”, “depression”, or “stress”, but you’ve always felt there was more to understand about your experience, your brain, and how your nervous system works.
Here, therapy adapts to your brain and nervous system. You’ll be supported in ways that honor how you process, regulate, and connect—without forcing you into a mold that doesn’t fit.
